High School Football is one sport that is played only once a week, one game at at a time, one season of each year. Every football program lays claim to a unique history steeped rich in tradition and inside every tradition is a story meant to be told. The concept of tradition - as the notion of holding on to a previous time - resonates somewhere within us all.
Traditions tells how things are done and why they are done that way-supported by a team's belief that "our way is THE way". This is a story of how and when traditions were started and how they have not only shaped the sport, but the community and most importantly, the athletes themselves.
Each week Traditions visits a select high school football program. Coaches, players and the community quickly become characters in our program as their stories unfold. We'll watch as Traditions play out in practice, in our character's lives and how they translate to the field. With an insiders sideline perspective, each Traditions episode concludes with all of the excitement, anticipation and privilege that is Game Day.
